The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall (see photo on the left).

Displayed is an old-fashioned technical drawing of a bee hive, with its various components lettered for reference. It indicates that the design was patented on November 17, 1885, by W.P. Hamlin. The patent number 330,478 is also presented at the top, and the names of two witnesses appear at the bottom left corner.
